Hello!
My name is Gabriela Dezotti (she/her) and I am currently a PhD candidate in the Ecology, Evolution and Biodiversity Programme at Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP) in Rio Claro, Brazil.
I am a member of the BioMe Group and am supervised by Professor Tadeu Siqueira.
I consider myself a work-in-progress ecologist with a strong interest in disturbances. Right now, I am exploring how novel disturbance regimes affect diversity within an integrated framework that considers time, space, and organizational scale. My work is usually focused on fire-modulated systems, but I am also interested in other types of disturbances, such as droughts and floods. Besides my research, I am deeply interested in FAIR data management and open science practices.
You can find more about my research here and what I’m doing right now in the About and Projects sections. If you want to get in touch, check out the Contact page!
